Chess at St. John Eudes gives students the opportunity to challenge their minds, develop strategic thinking, and enjoy friendly competition. Open to students from TK through Grade 8, the program combines instruction, practice, and tournament play in an engaging environment where students of all skill levels can learn, grow, and experience the rewards of this timeless game.

SJE School’s Chess Club

The Chess Club enrichment program is led by professional instructors from Chessmates and is open to students in TK through Grade 8. The program includes six weeks of instruction with weekly workbook lessons, followed by two weeks of tournament play. Students also have opportunities to participate in inter-school competitions, where they can put their skills to the test and earn trophies and certificates for their achievements.
